Overview

The NEXX X-COM3 Pro is a motorcycle Bluetooth® communication system with Mesh Intercom™ technology, designed to enhance the riding experience through advanced connectivity and audio features.

Function Description

The X-COM3 Pro allows riders to communicate with each other, manage phone calls, listen to music, and receive GPS instructions, all while riding. Its core functionality revolves around two primary intercom technologies: Bluetooth Intercom and Mesh Intercom.

Bluetooth Intercom

This traditional intercom system allows direct, paired communication with up to three other riders. The pairing process can be initiated using Smart Intercom Pairing (SIP) via the Sena Motorcycles App by scanning QR codes, or manually using the device's buttons. The system supports two-way and multi-way intercom conferences, including three-way and four-way configurations. It also facilitates three-way conference phone calls with intercom users, allowing a mobile phone conversation to include one or more intercom friends. Group Intercom functionality enables the instant creation of multi-way conference intercoms with up to three recently paired headsets.

Mesh Intercom™

Mesh Intercom is a self-optimizing and self-healing communication network that allows a virtually unlimited number of users to connect and communicate without the need for individual pairing. It operates in two modes:

  • Open Mesh™: An open group intercom function where users can freely communicate within the same channel (1-9). It supports an unlimited number of users and allows for channel setting to avoid interference.
  • Group Mesh™: A closed group intercom function for private conversations. Users can create a private group by "Mesh Grouping," which automatically switches the headset from Open Mesh to Group Mesh. Up to 24 users can be connected in each private group.

The X-COM3 Pro also supports Mesh Intercom Conference with Bluetooth Intercom Participants, allowing a user in a Mesh Intercom to include up to three Bluetooth intercom friends in the conversation.

Mobile Phone Usage

The device enables making and answering calls, rejecting calls, and activating Siri or Google Assistant using voice commands like "Hey Siri" or "Hey Google." Speed Dial presets can be assigned and used to quickly call contacts.

Stereo Music

Users can play/pause, track forward/backward, and share Bluetooth stereo music with one intercom friend (either via Bluetooth Intercom Music Sharing or Mesh Intercom Music Sharing).

FM Radio

The X-COM3 Pro includes an FM radio with features to turn the radio on/off, seek and save radio stations, and navigate through preset stations. It supports up to 10 stored radio stations. Temporary Station Preset allows for automatically finding and saving the nearest 10 radio stations without changing existing presets.

Voice Command

The headset supports multi-language voice commands (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian) for hands-free operation of various functions, including checking battery, adjusting volume, phone pairing, intercom pairing, Mesh Intercom control (on/off, grouping, toggling modes), music playback, and FM radio control.
