SYNCHRO-SUNLIGHT FILL-IN FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY-
For backlit subjects, to till in shadows and balance
lighting, use the SB-22 even in daytime.
in the foiiowing, use a slower shutter speed to
avoid a dark background.
Without flash:
The backlit subject
comes out too dark.
With flash:
Both the subject
and the background
come out properly
exposed.
By setting the F-401 /
N4004 to program,
aperture-priority or
shutter-priority auto
exposure mode, with
the SB-22 set to TTL,
automatic balanced
fill-flash is possible in
situations where fill-flash
is effective, even with a
bright subject. For details,

instruction manual.
(In manual exposure
mode, ordinary TTL fill-
flash is possible.)
