Problem Cause Measure
One side of the field of
view (up, down, right, or
left) is not focused.
The image flows (i.e.
becomes asymmetrically
defocused when moving
the focal point)
The specimen is tilted relative to the stage
surface.
Position the specimen in place on the stage.

The stage is tilted.
