Safety group with scald protection
As standard, the control system has a temperature limit for domestic hot water of 65 ºC. This prevents
users from scalding themselves when turning on the hot water.
This means that when VP18 (Cooling model) is in cooling mode, cooling will cease when the domestic hot
water reaches a temperature of 65 ºC.
Should the cooling requirement be higher than this, the temperature limit may be raised to 80 ºC. If
doing so, you must install a scald protection device under the hot water tank to prevent users from
scalding themselves when turning on the hot water.
The scald protection device mixes hot water with cold water. This lowers the temperature and scalding
is avoided. This will extend the cooling period of the VP18 (Cooling model).
CAUTION
If you connect a solar panel to the hot water tank, you must install a scald protection device.
