5.10 Signal routing switches
A number of the GPIO signals of the nRF9160 are routed through analog switches for use for onboard
functionality or having them available on the pin headers for external circuitry or Arduino type shields.
The switches in the following figure enable the nRF ONLY mode. For more information, see nRF ONLY
mode on page 9.

5.10.1 Switches for buttons and LEDs
On the nRF9160 DK board, there are a few analog switches that are used to connect and disconnect
signals to control buttons, switches, and LEDs.
The switches are controlled by the nRF52840, which contains firmware from Nordic Semiconductor.
