    • B
      Brian DuncanAug 10, 2025
If your NordicTrack Treadmill power doesn't turn on, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor that meets the specifications on page 13 and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a grounded outlet. Note that the treadmill isn't compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Also, ensure the key is properly inserted into the console. Finally, check the power switch on the treadmill frame; if it's tripped, wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset.

How to adjust a walking belt that is off-center or slips on NordicTrack T 4.0 Treadmill?
    • L
      ldavisAug 30, 2025
If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn. If it shifted right, turn the bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Be careful not to overtighten it. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating until centered. If the belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both idler roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn. You should be able to lift each side of the belt 2-3 inches off the platform when correctly tightened. Keep the belt centered, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating until properly tightened.

Why does the walking belt slow down when walked on a NordicTrack Treadmill?
    • M
      Mariah SnowSep 4, 2025
If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, use a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets the specifications described on page 13. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 2 to 3 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes, repeating until the walking belt is properly tightened.
