SILENCING THE RINGING TONE

Silencing the Ringing Tone
You can switch off the ringing tone issued by your handset if you do not want to be disturbed:
1 Press and hold the key for 3 seconds to deactivate the handset ringing tone�
2 Press and hold the key for 3 seconds, when the handset ringing tone is deactivated,
to reactivate the ringing tone�
Key Lock
You can lock the keys on the handset to prevent unintentionally activating any functions or
dialling any numbers:
1 Press and hold the key for 3 seconds to lock the keys�
2 Press and hold the key again for three seconds to unlock the keys�
Paging (Ring Tone)
You can make the handset ring to locate it if you have misplaced it:
1 Press the key on the base station to make the handset ring�
2 Press the key on the handset to stop the ringing tone�
Dialling Pause (P)
If the telephone is connected to a PABX, it may be necessary to enter a dialling pause, e�g�
to wait for an outside line� Press the key after entering the number following which the dialling
pause should be inserted� A "P" appears in the display to represent the pause� A dialling
pause can also be programmed for entries in the phone book�
1 Press the key to insert a dialling pause�
