In the event of a problem, use the information on the following pages rst to try and identify
it and implement the solutions proposed�
My handset cannot be switched on.
Check that the rechargeable batteries have been inserted with correct polarity and have a
sufcient charge. Further information is provided in Section Putting the Telephone into
Operation on Page 12�
The caller cannot or can hardly hear me.
The microphone has been muted� Deactivate the Muting function� Further information is
provided in Section Muting the Microphone on Page 30�
Try and charge the handset batteries and, if necessary, reduce the distance between the
handset and base station�
"No Base" ashes in the display.
The handset is out of range of the base station or the base station is not connected proper-
ly� Pay attention to the maximum range of the handset�
When the corresponding function is activated (refer to Alert Signal for Low Battery
Charge on Page 21), you will hear an alert signal when the handset is moved out of
range of the base station�
Check the cabling of the base station� Further information is provided in Section Putting
the Telephone into Operation on Page 12�
