In the top menu, select MODE MENU T CAMERA T FULLTIME AF T
ON.

Turn on the monitor (P. 78).
● If the monitor is not on, Fulltime AF does not function.
FULLTIME AF keeps the image on the monitor in focus at all times, without
having to press the shutter button halfway. This function reduces focusing
time. When OFF is selected, images cannot be focused unless the shutter
button is pressed halfway.
mode: When FULLTIME AF is set to ON, correct focus and exposure are
maintained continuously in the record or stand-by mode. When
FULLTIME AF is set to OFF, recording continues with the focus
locked when the shutter button is pressed halfway.

— Continuous focusing on moving subjects
● Battery life is shorter when Fulltime AF is used.
