Self-Timer Shooting
This function is useful for taking pictures where the shooter wants to be
included in the photograph.

Use a tripod to stabilize the camera.

: In the top menu, select
T .
P A/S/M : In the top menu, select
MODE MENU T CAMERA TT.

Press the shutter button fully to start
self-timer shooting.
The self-timer/remote control lamp lights
up for approx. 10 seconds, then starts
blinking. After blinking for approx. 2
seconds, the picture is taken. (In the
mode, recording starts.)
To stop shooting while in the mode,
press the shutter button fully again.

Factory default setting: OFF
To stop the self-timer, press . The self-timer/remote control lamp
will turn off.
TIPS
The self-timer mode is not saved after the power is turned off even if All
Reset is set to OFF (P. 146).
The self-timer mode is canceled automatically when shooting is finished.
In the mode, the camera automatically stops shooting when it goes over
the maximum recording time for one shot.
If self-timer shooting is attempted when the still picture shooting mode ( ,
, , , , P, A/S/M, ) is set to sequential shooting, the
camera shoots 5 frames automatically.
