Connecting Computer
Transferring and storing camera images to a computer without using OLYMPUS Master application
This camera is supported by USB Mass Storage Class Device
Standards. Therefore, you can transfer and store images by connecting
the camera to a computer with the provided device specific USB cable
without using OLYMPUS Master application.
The environment of the connectable computer is as follows.
Windows:
Windows 98/98SE/Me/2000 Professional/XP
Macintosh:
Mac OS 9.0-9.2/X
Under the environment shown below, we cannot guarantee proper operation
even if it is equipped with the USB connector.
• Windows 95/NT 4.0
• Up-graded Windows 98/98SE from Windows 95
• Mac 8.6 or earlier versions (only for Mac OS 8.6 originally equipped with
USB connector and USB MASS Storage Device Support 1.3.5 is
confirmed for proper operation).
• Computers with newly added USB connector using an expansion card
etc.
• Computers that do not originally come with an operating system installed
or a home-made computer.
A USB driver should be installed if you use Windows 98/98SE. Before
connecting the camera to a computer using the USB cable, double-click
[INSTALL.EXE] to install the USB driver from the folder (indicated below) on
the provided OLYMPUS Master CD-ROM.
