3.5 Popups and messages
The ESG-410 displays 3 different categories of messages:
‒ Error messages
‒ Info messages
‒ Message boxes
Error messages
These messages are displayed when the system detects a safety relevant issue, e.g. if the
connections between the ESG-410 and a peripheral equipment like a videoprocessor are
not correct. Error messages provide instructions (remedial actions) to clear the alarm.
When an error message pops up, an alarm tone sounds. More details about error messages
are described in the section “8.9 Alarm system” on page 77.
Info messages
These kind of messages assist the user if something has not been done correctly, so that
the system cannot work properly. When an info message pops us, an info tone sounds. The
message can be cleared by tapping the [OK] button.
If, for example, the user has missed to assign the foot switch, the following info message
can pop up:
1) Information symbol and code
2) Message title
3) Remedial actions
4) [OK] button to clear the message
