Safe use of neutral electrodes
The displayed message must be conrmed by the user for 2 reasons:
‒ To make the user aware that the risk of endogenous burns is high when using the non-
split type of neutral electrodes.
‒ To avoid that a non-split type neutral electrode is used unintentionally.
6.2 Restriction to only split type neutral electrodes
As a safety feature, the ESG-410 provides a setting that prevents the use of non-split
type neutral electrodes. If this setting is set to [Disable] and a non-split type neutral is
(unintentionally) connected, then the following message box is displayed:
