Chapter 3 Preparation and Inspection
LF-TP/DP/GP OPERATION MANUAL
If the brightness does not increase even after the battery has
been replaced with a new one, then the lamp must be
replaced as given in “Replacement of the Lamp” on page 30.
The average life of a battery used with this instrument is
approximately 1 hour if the illumination is continuous.
However, battery life varies slightly depending on conditions
of use. Turn the illumination on and inspect the endoscopic
image to determine whether or not the battery should be
replaced.
If the object cannot be seen clearly, wipe the Objective Lens
and the eyepiece lens using a clean, lint-free cloth moistened
with 70% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol.
Replacement of the Lamp
The lamp is very hot immediately after the Lamp Holder is
disconnected. Avoid touching the lamp.
Make sure that the illumination is turned off when the Lamp
Holder is removed from the Miniature Light Source.
Removing the Lamp Holder while the lamp is turned on may
result in equipment damage.
Use only the dedicated Halogen Lamp (MAJ-525) when
required. Using a lamp other than this may result in
equipment damage.
Do not allow liquids to enter the Miniature Light Source while
the lamp is being replaced. If liquid gets on or inside the
Miniature Light Source, use a spare Miniature Light Source.
If the Lamp Holder is used while stains are on the glass
surface at the tip of the lamp, the transmitted light intensity
may decrease.
If the Miniature Light Source is not attached to the
endoscope, the lamp may be turned on when rotating the
Lamp Holder to remove it. However, this is not a problem, the
lamp will be turned off when the Lamp Holder is tightened.
