Chapter 4 Operation
LF-TP/DP/GP OPERATION MANUAL
Observation With the Light Source
Only use the Olympus Light Guide Cable
(WA03200A/WA03202A/A03200A/A3090/A3091/A3093/
A3290/A3291/A3293) with these instruments. If the another
light guide cable is used, the Control Section of the
endoscope may be hot and burns can be caused.
The Distal End of the endoscope may exceed 41C (106F)
and reach 50C (122F) due to intense endoscopic
illumination. Surface temperatures over 41C (106F) may
cause mucosal burns. Always use the minimum level of
illumination necessary for adequate viewing. Whenever
possible, avoid close stationary viewing and do not leave the
Distal End of the endoscope close to mucous membranes for
a long time.
When taking photos or observing the endoscopic image on
the display monitor or photographing, use the illumination of
the conventional Light Source. The illumination provided by
the Miniature Light Source may be insufficient to monitor
observation and photography because its brightness level
cannot be adjusted.
When observing the endoscopic image with the conventional Light Source,
prepare the Light Guide Cable
(WA03200A/WA03202A/A03200A/A3090/A3091/A3093/A3290/A3291/A3293)
and connect it.
1. Turn the lamp off.
2. Rotate the Attachment Ring of the Miniature Light Source counterclockwise
and remove it from the endoscope.
3. Attach the Light Guide Adapter to the Light Guide fitting on the endoscope
(see Figure 4.5).
Light guide adapter (MAJ-1413) is constructed by main body
and LG adapter (A0460). LG adapter (A0460) must be
screwed off from main body when connect the light guide
cable (WA03200A/WA03202A/A03200A).
