7.1 Troubleshooting Guide

The number displayed on
the CVP counter does not
increase even if an image
has been captured.
The communication problem has occurred
between this instrument and the connected
equipment.
Turn this instrument OFF, then ON again.
Turn the connected equipment OFF, then ON again.
The connected equipment is set improperly. Set the connected equipment properly as described in
“3.1 Setup of Connected Equipment” on page 25, or in
“3.3 Setup of Connected Equipment” in
“INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC).”
The communication speed (BAUDRATE) is set
improperly.
Set it properly as described in “Setting “BAUDRATE””
on page 59 and in the instruction manual of the connected
equipment.
The remote cable is connected improperly. Connect the remote cable properly as described in
“Chapter 2 Installation and Connection” on page 15 or in
“Chapter 2 Installation and Connection” in
“INSTRUCTION (BASIC).”
The remote cable is broken. Replace the new remote cable.
The remote cable is subjected to an excessive
force.
Change the cable layout to remove the excessive force.
The endoscope or the scope cable is connected
improperly.
Connect the endoscope or the scope cable properly as
described in the instruction manual of the connected
equipment.
Images cannot be printed. The video cable is connected improperly. Connect it properly as described in “Chapter 2
Installation and Connection” in “INSTRUCTIONS
(BASIC)” or in “INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
The video cable is broken. Replace the new video cable.
The video cable is subjected to an excessive
force.
Change the cable layout to remove the excessive force.
No image has been captured. Capture an image.
No ink ribbon is installed. Install the ink ribbon as described in “Installation of the
Ink Ribbon” in “3.2 Installation of the Color Printing
Pack (UPC-55)” in “INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC).”
The ink ribbon is installed improperly. Install the ink ribbon as described in “Installation of the
Ink Ribbon” in “3.2 Installation of the Color Printing
Pack (UPC-55)” in “INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC).”
This ink ribbon has been torn. Repair the tear as described in “If the ink ribbon is torn in
the middle” in “3.2 Installation of the Color Printing Pack
(UPC-55)” in “INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC).”
No print sheets are installed. Install the ink ribbon as described in “Installation of the
Print Sheets” in “3.2 Installation of the Color Printing
Pack (UPC-55)” in “INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC).”
The print sheets are installed improperly. Install the ink ribbon as described in “Installation of the
Print Sheets” in “3.2 Installation of the Color Printing
Pack (UPC-55)” in “INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC).”
“AUTO PRINT” is set to “OFF.” Set “AUTO PRINT” to “ON” or “ON CLEAR,” referring
to “Setting “AUTO PRINT”” on page 43.
Perform printing manually from the front panel of this
instrument or by a remote operation from the connected
equipment.
The input signal is switched. Set the signal format of the switched input signal,
referring to “5.8 Setup of the INPUT SETUP Menu” on
page 49.
The HDTV image with the
16:9 aspect ratio is printed
improperly.
Only the “4 : 3” and “5 : 4” aspect ratios are
available.
This is the design of this instrument and not a
malfunction.
The color tones in the print
picture are incorrect.
Some setups are incorrect. Adjust the color tones as described in the description on
“5.10 Setup of the COLOR BALANCE Menu” on page
52 in “INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED).”
