Olympus OM-2 - OM System

The OM System is comprehensively arrayed to meet an
ever-expanding sphere of various photographic conditions
for any subjects from the stars to microorganisms . The dif-
ference between a full-scale system SLR camera and a con-
ventional SLR is determined by their capabilities that can
accommodate themselves to the ever-increasing require-
ments of the system or not .
A
full -scale system camefa is distinguishable by some of the
prerequisite characteristics as broadlY mentioned below :

Interchangeability of focusing screens.

Adaptability to a high speed motor drive photography.
• A wide range of high quality system units, including
interchangeable lenses.

Tough and reliable shutter, viewfinder , etc. that with-
stand most ruthless handling without faltering .
When these
exacting conditions have been satisfied, an OM-
2 is born as a true system camera that controls an entire
SLR comprehensive system. The OM-2 is backed up with
numerous units systematically organized under eight groups
- Interchageable Lens, Finder, Flash, Motor Drive, Photo-
technical , Macrophoto , Photomicro and Case.
