1.4 Wireless Function
Before use, thoroughly read the instruction manual included with the Telehealth
service receiver (in some cases, receiver may be your smart device) being used
with this blood pressure monitor, for instructions about your monitor connecting to
the Telehealth service receiver, and receiver transmission range. It will be
necessary for the blood pressure monitor to be within the receiver’s transmission
range to successfully transfer data. This OMRON blood pressure monitor is
designed to connect to specific Bluetooth receivers, and is not guaranteed to
connect to all Bluetooth compatible devices and Telehealth service receivers.
OMRON Healthcare, Inc. shall not be liable for loss of use or any other special,
incidental, consequential or indirect costs, expenses or damages due to improper
usage of this monitor.
1.5 Classification of BP (Blood Pressure)
ACC/AHA 2017 Hypertension guidelines define categories of BP in adults as below.
Categories of BP in Adults*
BP Category Systolic BP Diastolic BP
Normal < 120 mmHg and < 80 mmHg
Elevated 120 - 129 mmHg and < 80 mmHg
Hypertension
Stage 1 130 - 139 mmHg or 80 - 89 mmHg
Stage 2 140 mmHg or 90 mmHg
* Individuals with Systolic BP and Diastolic BP in 2 categories should be
designated to the higher BP category.
BP indicates blood pressure (based on an average of 2 careful readings obtained
on 2 occasions).
