1-3-2 Part Names and Functions
An EtherNet/IP Unit is equipped with the following indicators that indicate the operating status of the
node itself and the overall network.
Status Indicators: MS, NS, COMM, 100M, and 10M
The MS (Module Status) indicator indicates the status of the node itself and the NS (Network Status)
indicator indicates the status of the network.
The COMM, 100M, and 10M indicators indicate the status of Ethernet communications.
The MS and NS indicators can be green or red. The COMM, 100M, and 10M indicators are yellow.
These indicators can be lit, flashing, or not lit. The following table shows the meaning of these indi-
cator conditions.
Refer to Section 13 Troubleshooting for details on using these indicators for troubleshooting.
