Before You Begin
Ensure that the following requirements are met:

If you want to configure RAID (redundant array of independent disks) on the server's
storage drives, you must do so before you install the operating system. For instructions for
configuring RAID, refer to “RAID Configuration Requirements” in Oracle Server X5-2
Installation Guide.
Note - If you are using the Oracle Storage 12 Gb/s SAS PCIe RAID HBA Internal to
manage your storage drives, you must create a RAID volume and make it bootable before
installing the operating system; otherwise, the HBA will not be able to identify the server's
storage drives.
