5.6 Taking measurements
When you are taking measurements, the measured values are stored simul-
taneously.
To take a measurement, proceed as follows:
1. Select the Measurement menu
2. Start Recording… Tap this menu item
The dialog window for describing the measurement opens.
3. Enter a description:
- Title: Name for the measurement
- Operator: Name of the person taking the measurement
- Comment: General comment about the measurement
- Notifications: Limit values for the measurement, see Using
limit values [}19]
4. Start measuring with Record
The measuring data are displayed continuously.
5. If necessary, stop the measurement with Stop Recording
5.7 Displaying the particle number size
distribution
To display the particle number size distribution, proceed as follows:
1. Select the Settings menu
2. Select Distributions
The graphic shows the particle number size distribution.
The diagram is automatically adapted to the measuring range.
5.8 Using limit values
You can set a limit value for each PM value. The limit value can be set indi-
vidually or according to corresponding legal requirements.
5.8.1 Entering limit values separately for each
measurement
You can enter limit values individually for each measurement.
Proceed as follows to enter the limit values for a measurement:
1. Select the Notifications menu
2. Activate the limit value display by tapping Active Notification
- or -
reset to reset the existing limit values
3. Enter limit values
ð The limit values are displayed when you start a measurement
