42 Using Your Treo 700w Smartphone
CHAPTER 3 Using Your Phone
Receiving calls
To receive calls, your phone must be on. This is different from using
your smartphone in Flight mode (see “Turning Wireless Services
On/Off” on page 185).
To answer a call, do one of the following:
Press Phone/Send .
Press Answer .
If the headset is attached, press the headset button.
To ignore a call and send it to voicemail, do one of the following:
Press Power/End .
Press Menu and select Ignore.
To silence the ringer while your smartphone is ringing:
Press the Volume button or any key on your smartphone except
Phone/Send, Power/End, or the 5-way.
To immediately silence all system sounds including the ringer, slide
the ringer switch to Sound Mode Off . All sounds remain off until
you slide the ringer switch back to Sound On .
When you silence the ringer, you can either answer the call or let it ring
through to voicemail.

Did You Know
You can also ignore a
call and send a text
message. Press Menu
and select Ignore with
text message.
Tip
If music is playing
when a call arrives,
the smartphone rings
softly. You can answer
the phone as you
normally would. The
audio pauses during
your call.
