Troubleshooting (Advanced)
 Touch Pad / Touchscreen (only for model with touchscreen)
The cursor does not work. z Connect the external mouse correctly.
z Restart the computer using the keyboard.
(Press ,
U , and R to select [Restart].)
z If the computer does not respond to keyboard commands, read “No response”
(Î page 77).
Cannot input using the touch pad. z Set [Touch Pad] to [Enable] in the [Main] menu of the Setup Utility (Î page 61).
z The drivers for some mice may disable the touch pad. Check your mouse’s
operating instructions.
Cannot point the correct position using
the included stylus.
z Perform the touchscreen calibration (Î page 5).
 PC Card / ExpressCard
A card does not work. z Insert the card correctly.
z The card does not conform to the card standard.
z Restart the computer after installing a driver (of card or other device).
z Set [PC Card Slot] and [ExpressCard Slot] to [Enable] in the [Advanced] menu
of the Setup Utility (Î page 62).
z The port settings are not correct.
z Read the instruction manual of the card or contact the manufacturer of the card.
z Remove the card and insert it again (Î page 30).
z The driver is not compatible with the operating system.
 SD Memory Card
Cannot use a SD Memory Card. z Set [SD Card Slot] to [Enable] in the [Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility
(Î page 62).
Cannot use SD security function. z Setup the SD Memory Card (Î page 35).
z You cannot use SD security together with fingerprint security (optional).
Cannot log on using the SD Memory
Card.
z The user name and password set in the SD Memory Card are not correct.
Enter the correct user name and password, and log on to Windows without
using the SD Memory Card. Set the correct user name and password in [SD
Card Setup] (Î page 35).
