When connecting the serial device
Touchscreen
1 Turn the computer off and remove the serial device connected to the serial port of the
port replicator.
2 Turn the computer on.
3 Logon the computer.
4 Windows 2000
Select from the task bar or select [Settings] from [Start] - [Programs] - [UPDD].
Windows XP
Select from the task bar or select [Settings] from [Start] - [All Programs] - [UPDD].
The following is displayed.
5 Select [Device2] in [Devices] - [The following devices are installed] and select [Re-
move].
At the confirmation message, select [OK].
6 Turn the computer off and connect the serial device to the serial port.
The touchscreen is set so that Device 1 (touchscreen of the computer) and Device 2
(CF-VDL01 (optional) connected to the serial port of the port replicator) both operate.
When connecting the serial device to the serial port of the port replicator, if Windows
does not start or the serial device does not work properly, change the settings of the
touchscreen driver with the following procedure.
1 Windows 2000
Select from the task bar or select [Settings] from [Start] - [Programs] - [UPDD].
Windows XP
Select from the task bar or select [Settings] from [Start] - [All Programs] -
[UPDD].
2 Select [Device2] in [Devices] - [The following devices are installed] and select
[Calibrate].
When the touchscreen driver is reinstalled, the calibration of Device 1 may be re-
quested, but the calibration of Device2 is not requested. If the LCD monitor (CF-
VDL01 (optional)) is connected, carry out the calibration with the following procedure.
