When connecting the serial device
Touchscreen
1 Turn the computer off and remove the serial device connected to the serial port of the
port replicator.
2 Turn the computer on.
3 Logon the computer.
4 Select from the task bar or select [Settings] from [Start] - [Programs] - [Updd].
The following is displayed.
5 Select [device2] in [Devices] - [The following devices are installed] and select [Re-
move].
At the confirmation message, select [OK].
6 Turn the computer off and connect the serial device to the serial port.
The touchscreen is set so that Device 1 (touchscreen of the computer) and Device 2
(CF-VDL01 (optional) connected to the serial port of the port replicator) both operate.
When connecting the serial device to the serial port of the port replicator, if Windows
does not start or the serial device does not work properly, change the settings of the
touchscreen driver with the following procedure.
1 Select from the task bar or select [Settings] from [Start] - [Programs] - [Updd].
2 Select [device2] in [Devices] - [The following devices are installed] and select
[Calibrate].
When the touchscreen driver is reinstalled, the calibration of Device 1 and the cali-
bration of Device 2 may be requested. In such case, if the LCD monitor (CF-VDL01
(optional)) is not connected to the serial port of the port replicator, the calibration of
Device 2 times out. In this case, carry out the calibration of Device 2 again with the
following procedure.
