Why is caller information not announced on my Panasonic Answering Machine?
    • H
      Hayley SwansonSep 9, 2025
Caller information may not be announced on your Panasonic answering machine because the handset or base unit’s ringer volume is turned off. Adjust it. Also, the Talking Caller ID feature may be turned off, so turn it on. The number of rings for the answering system might be set to “2 rings” or “Toll saver”, so select a different setting. If the base unit and another handset are having an intercom call, your handset will not announce caller information.

    • D
      David GreeneAug 23, 2025
Caller information may not be displayed on your Panasonic Answering Machine because you need to subscribe to Caller ID service. If you are already subscribed, ensure the unit is plugged directly into the wall jack, without any additional telephone equipment. If you use a DSL/ADSL service, connecting a DSL/ADSL filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack may resolve the issue. Also, other telephone equipment might be interfering with the unit, so try disconnecting them.
