Making calls
Using the handset
1 L
ift the handset and then dial the phone
number.
R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN.
2 Press MTALK/ZN to make the call.
R To make the call using the speakerphone,
press and hold MTALK/ZN for a few
seconds.
3 When you finish talking, press MOFFN or place
the handset on the charger.
Note:
R While talking, you can switch between the
receiver and the speakerphone by pressing
MTALK/ZN.
R In step 1, you can store the dialed phone
number to the phonebook by pressing and
holding MFN W for a few seconds.
Making a call using the redial list
T
he last 5 phone numbers dialed are stored in the
redial list (48 digits max. each).
1 MEN REDIAL
2 MbN: Select the desired entry.
3 Press MTALK/ZN.
Erasing a number in the redial list

2 MbN: Select the desired entry. a MERASEN
3 MbN: “Yes” a MSELECTN a MOFFN
Using the base unit
1 D
ial the phone number.
R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN.
2 Lift the corded handset.
R To make the call using the speakerphone,
press MZN.
3 When you finish talking, place the corded
handset on the cradle. When the
speakerphone is used, press MZN.
Note:
R You can also dial the phone number after lifting
the corded handset.
R To switch to the speaker, press MZN.
To switch back to the receiver, lift the corded
h
andset.
R While on a call, you can switch from the base
unit to the cordless handset as follows.
The call sharing mode must be on (page 43).
A Handset: Press MTALK/ZN.
B Base unit: Place the corded handset on the
cradle. When the speakerphone is used, press
MZN.
Making a call using the redial list
The last 10 phone numbers dialed are stored in
the redial list (48 digits max. each).
1 MREDIALN
2 MbN: Select the desired entry.
3 Lift the corded handset, or press MZN.

2 MbN: Select the desired entry. a MERASEN
3 MbN: “Yes” a MSELECTN a MEXITN

Note for handset:
R If the receiver volume is set to level 5 (max.), it
will be changed to level 4 in the next call.
Pause (for PBX/long distance service
u
sers)
A pause is sometimes required when making calls
using a PBX or long distance service. When
storing a calling card access number and/or PIN in
the phonebook, a pause is also needed
(page 35).
Example: If you need to dial the line access
number “9” when making outside calls with a PBX:
