8. Stabilizer, Zoom and Flash
∫ The available flash range (approximation)
When you use certain lenses, light from the flash may be
blocked or fail to cover the lens field of view, causing dark
areas to appear in the resulting pictures.
The distance at which light from the flash is blocked by lens, and
the distance to which light from the flash is delivered vary
depending on the lens used. Check the distance to the subject
when taking a picture.
•
These ranges are obtained when the flash (supplied) is attached, the ISO sensitivity is set to
[AUTO], and [ISO Limit Set] (P163) is set to [OFF].
• Do not bring any objects near the flash. The heat and light from the flash may cause the objects
to deform or discolor.
• It may take time to charge the flash if you repeatedly take pictures. You must wait a moment to
take the next picture while the flash icon is blinking red indicating the flash is charging. Take a
picture after the access indication disappears.
When the interchangeable lens (H-FS12032) is used
Wide Tele
0.3 m (0.98 feet) to 6.8 m (22 feet) 0.3 m (0.98 feet) to 4.2 m (14 feet)
When the interchangeable lens (H-FS35100) is used
Wide Tele
0.9 m (3.0 feet) to 6.0 m (20 feet) 0.9 m (3.0 feet) to 4.2 m (14 feet)
When the interchangeable lens (H-X015) is used
0.5 m (1.6 feet) to 14.1 m (46 feet)
