Programme 18
Fried Onion
Note: During the cooking, the oven will beep and cooking will be
stopped temporarily in order to prompt you to stir the food.
Press Start/Set to continue cooking once the food has been stirred.
Ingredients:
Onion (remove skin) 100 g
Oil 40 g
Salt approx. 1 g
Instructions
Slice 100 g onion into thin pieces. Add some salt (approx. 1 g) and mix all together.
Wipe water off lightly with paper towel. Put onion into microwavable heatproof dish
and pour 40 g oil and mix well. Put it directly on the glass tray without cover.
Press Healthy Menu, press Up/Down to select the Auto Menu programme 18, press
Start/Set. During the cooking, the oven will beep and cooking will be stopped
temporarily in order to prompt you to stir the food. Press Start/Set to continue cooking
once the food has been stirred. After cooking, place fried onion on the paper towel to
absorb remaining oil. Wait until onion is cooled down.

Cake
Ingredients:
All purpose flour 150 g
Baking powder 1 tsp.
A pinch of salt
Butter 150 g
Caster sugar 150 g
Eggs, beaten 240 g
Milk 1 tbsp.
Vanilla extract 1 tsp.
Instructions
Line and grease a 20 cm ring cake pan. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Gradually beat in eggs and vanilla. Slowly fold the sifted flour in several additions,
alternating with 1 tbsp of milk. Put the Low wire rack in the oven and press Cake/
Cookies, press Up/Down to select the Auto Menu programme 19, press Start/Set to
preheat. Mix cake mixture well and pour into the greased cake pan. After preheating,
put the cake pan on the Low wire rack in the oven and press Start/Set.
