2. Remove Barrier Assy VF.
a. Unscrew the screw of Harness cover VCR at Coil
cover Right side.
b. he hook can be removed inserting minus driver on the
square hole of Harness cover VCR. And take out the
Harness cover VCR.
c. Take out connectors (3 pieces).
d. Disconnect these connectors.
e. Unscrew screws (2 pieces) of the Barrier Assy VF
from VC side.
f. The front part of Barrier Assy VF is pushed up from
the FC side, then take it out from VC side.
3. Remove Coil cover Assy
a. Unscrew screws (2 pieces) of Coil cover Assy.
b. Pull from upper part of Coil cover Assy, and unhook
from 2 hooks of lower part of Coil cover Assy by using
minus driver.
c. And take Coil cover Assy out from VC side.
CAUTIONS
• Be careful when removing Coil cover Assy. Otherwise,
Coil cover Assy may break.
• When you install Coil cover Assy, install upper portion of
Coil cover Assy first.
After that, hook in 2 hooks of lower portion of Coil cover
Assy. And screw on Coil cover Assy using 2 screws.
12.4.1. FC DEFROST SENSOR, THER-
MAL FUSE,DEFROST HEATER
Remove Coil cover Assy.
(Refer to "Disassembly of VC and FC compartment".)

Replacement for DEFROST SENSOR
1. Remove defrost sensor by cutting tube band on accumu-
lator of evaporator.
2. The aluminum tape is peeled off, and the Defrost sensor
is removed.
CAUTIONS
• Be sure to bind the FC defrost sensor on accumulator by
tube band.
• Connect connector firmly.
• Arrange the lead wire so that it will not loosen.
Cover connectors with joint cover (vinyl cover).
Replacement for THERMAL FUSE
1. Remove thermal fuse by cutting tube band on evaporator
(at the side of U pipe).
2. Cut the wire of thermal fuse (2 lines).
3. New thermal fuse connect with original wires by wire joint.
CAUTIONS
• Set thermal fuse in place. (At the side of evaporator' U pipe)
• Arrange the lead wire so that it will not loosen.
Cover connectors with joint cover (vinyl cover).
