17. RESPONSE DELAY TIME
The maximum response delay time of the complete system, calculated by considering the
scan period of the DeviceNet scanner, SL-GU1-D processing time, S-LINK system transmis-
sion time, etc., is as given below.
1. Input response delay time of complete system
= Response time of external device + Input response delay time of S-LINK system+ DeviceNet
scan time
2. Output response delay time of complete system
= DeviceNet scan time + Output response delay time of S-LINK system + Response time of
external device
where,
 Input response delay time of S-LINK system
= S-LINK input unit processing time + S-LINK system transmission time + SL-GU1-D pro-
cessing time
 Output response delay time of S-LINK system
= SL-GU1-D processing time + S-LINK output unit processing time + S-LINK system trans-
mission time
Item Time (Max.)
S-LINK input unit processing time 0.6ms
S-LINK output unit processing time 2.0ms
SL-GU1-D processing time +
S-LINK system transmission time
32 points 6.3ms
64 points 7.7ms
96 points 10.0ms
128 points 12.1ms
18. SWITCHING ON AND OFF OF POWER SUPPLY
