Chapter 3 - Arming and Disarming | 15
Arming the System
There are three different methods of arming your system: Regular arming, Stay arming, and Sleep arming.
Your choice of arming level will depend on whether you are leaving the premises, or staying in for the
evening.
Exit Delay Timer
When you arm your system, it will trigger the exit delay timer to provide you with enough time to exit the
protected area before your system is armed. The exit delay value can range from 1 to 255 seconds, inclusive -
the default value is 60 seconds. For more information on configuring exit delays, refer to Chapter 5 - System
Setup on page 35.
NOTE: Only a system master code can be used to program the exit delay timer.
Arming Types
The following section describes the procedures for the different arming methods that are available.
Regular Arm
This method is used for the everyday arming of your system when you leave the premises. All defined zones
in the system must be closed to regular arm the system.
To regular arm your system:
1. Press the
key.
2. Enter your user code (default: 1234). The
LED will turn red indicating that the system has been armed.
