1--The installationisnot completeuntil Ratingand LightingPlatesareon the boilerandthe"UsersInformationManual"and "Installation
Instructions"are hung neartheboiler
2--System shouldbe maintainedin goodrepair.Radiators,baseboardunitsand/orconvectorsmustbekeptclean.
:_lf a radiatordoes notheat allover.air hasprobablyaccumulatedandshouldbevented.
P- CHECKOUTPROCEDURE
1--Afterstartingboiler,becertainall controlsareworkingproperlybeforeleavingit unattended,Checkto besure thatthe temperaturelimitcontrol
will shutoffthe boilerin theeventof excessivetemperature,by loweringlimitset pointuntil mainburnersshutdown,Returnlimitto desiredset
point.
2_heck gastightnessof maingasvalvewhenclosedto be certainthereis noleakageto theburners.Checkalljoints periodicallyfor gas
teakage.Usesoapsolutionto checkleakage.
3_heck the operationof the ignitionsystemsafetyshut-offdeviceusingthefollowingmethod:
a.ConstantBurningPilot:Withthegascock knobin the pilotposition,extinguishpilot flameand makecertainthe gasvalveshutsoffgasflow
to thepilotwithintwo (2) minutes,Torelight follow"LightingInstructions".
b.SparkIgnitionSystems:Withthe unitoperating,turnoff thegasat the inletshut-offvalveupstreamfromtheboiler.Theunitwill spark
attemptto relight.If pilotlock-outisprovided,thespark willstopwithin ninety(90)seconds,To relightfollow"OperatingInstructions".
Q - SHUT-DOWN CAUSED BY PILOT OUTAGE, VENT SAFETY SHUT OFF SWITCH OR FLAME ROLL-OUT SAFETY SHUT OFF

1--1nthe eventof a shut-downcausedby a pilotoutage,actionofthe ventsafetyshutoffswitchorflame roll-outsafetyshut-offswitcheffectinga
shut-downof themain burners:
a.Turnoffall electricpowertothe boiler.
b.Referto "Lightingor OperatingInstructions"andturn gascock knobto "off" position.
c. Calla qualifiedheatingserviceorganizationor localgascompanyand havethe causeofthe shut-downinvestigatedand corrected.
d. Referto "Lightingor OperatingInstructions"to re-startboiler.

SHOULDOVERHEATINGOCCURORTHEGASSUPPLYFAILTO SHUTOFF,DONOTTURNOFFORDISCONNECTTHE ELECTRICAL
SUPPLYTOTHEPUMP,INSTEAD,SHUTOFFTHEGASSUPPLYATA LOCATIONEXTERNALTOTHEAPPLIANCE.
