3. Basic operations of G7H+
In this section, we highlight the basic operations of G7H+. It includes the installation of base and
rover, the operation of keys, changing work mode and datalink, self-test. All of these basic
operations are simple and easy. But they are very important.
3.1.Power on
When the Receiver is in the OFF status (no light), press the power key until you listen beep and
LED light up, and then the receiver will enter the initialization status.
After the receiver powered on, the current working mode would be default as the working mode
settings which you powered off last time.
3.2.Switch working mode
After the receiver is powered on, you can connect to the receiver through a handheld (or other
equipment) to set and switch the working mode. The main setting methods include WebUI and
handheld software:
WebUI settings : Please refer to Chapter 6 WebUI Settings Instructions.
Handheld software settings:
You can use the Bluetooth or WIFI to connect the handheld software. If you use the WIFI, please
make sure the G7H+ WIFI is in Hotspot mode. Then open the software to search the G7H+
Bluetooth or WIFI, the name will be G7H+ SN. Connect the G7H+ and use the software to configure
it.
3.3.Self-checking
The self-checking function is mainly to predict in advance whether each module of the receiver is
working normally. When the indicator light of G7H+ is off or some modules are not working
normally, you can use the self-checking function to check the receiver.
G7H+ self-checking will check GPS, radio, GSM, WIFI, Bluetooth, sensor six parts. During the
self-checking, there will be voice broadcast the test result. Below is the self-checking operations
and result displays:
When the receiver is in powered on status, keep press the power key for 3 seconds until a voice
broadcast “if you want to turn off the device”, then release the power key. Keep press the power
key again for 3 seconds until you hear a beep, then there will be voice broadcast “self-check” and
you could release the power key (The new device should be self-checked once). You can also
perform self-checking through the screen.
In the process of device self-checking, there will be voice broadcast the test results. If the module
self-check is successful, voice broadcast “xx self- check OK” and the led always on until the
