4.2.RTK Dynamic survey (Radio)
RTK dynamic survey (base, rover) is divided into two modes according to the different transmitting
methods of differential data, radio mode and network mode.
4.2.1.Set up base
a. Install the tripod on the chosen position, level it and attach the receiver into tribrach.
b. If using the built-in radio to transmit differential data, connect the built-in radio antenna to the
receiver.
c. Power on the receiver.
d. Set the receiver according to the selected data link, communication parameters, correction data etc.
4.2.2.Start base
Open FieldGenius software in the handheld, then setting the communication mode, click GNSS
Reference, then connect to the receiver, configure data link, satellite system, etc.
There are two startup modes for the base here:
1) Use single point coordinates
The base takes the approximate WGS-84 coordinates of the current point as the base station
coordinates.
2) Input base coordinates
The user input the base coordinates; the input base coordinates cannot be too far away from
the accurate WGS-84 coordinates of the current point, otherwise the base station cannot work
normally.
