4.2.3.Set up rover
After the base is set up, then start to set up the rover.
a. First install the handheld bracket on the pole, fix the handheld on the handheld bracket, and fix the
receiver on the poleć
b. As the datalink mode is radio, please connect the built-in radio antenna to the receiver.
c. Power on and set the receiver working mode to rover.
4.2.4.Rover settings
Open the FieldGenius software in the handheld, then setting the communication mode, click GNSS
Reference, then connect to the receiver, configure data link, satellite system, etc.
When the data link is selected as the built-in radio, the channel, frequency, protocol, and power of
the radio need to be set.
Note:
1. If you want a very precise measurement (a few centimeters), we recommend that you use a tripod
to set up the rover.
2. When the measurement area is large (the base distance is longer than 2-3 kilometers), the operating
distance is long, and the built-in radio cannot meet the requirements, it is recommended to use an
external large radio to connect to the receiver.
3. In radio mode, the frequency and protocol settings of the rover and the base need to be consistent.
