You can change the auto focus area (Focusing Area).
Focusing Area
1 Press the 3 button in the capture mode.
The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (

) to select [Focusing Area].
3 Press the four-way controller (5).
A pull-down menu appears.
4 Use the four-way controller (23)
to change the setting.
5 Press the 4 button.
The AF Setting is saved.
6 Press the 3 button.
The camera returns to capture status with the current setting.

J
Multiple The camera focuses on the standard auto focus area.
K
Spot The camera focuses on the smaller auto focus area.
W
Automatic
Tracking AF
The camera keeps moving subjects in focus.
In d (Movie), W (Automatic Tracking AF) cannot be selected.
In b (Auto Picture) and (Green), [Focusing Area] is fixed at
J (Multiple).
