Why does Philips Air Cleaner take long time to humidify?
    • M
      Michael BallSep 18, 2025
If it takes a long time to reach the target humidity level with the Philips Air Cleaner, close doors and windows during use to optimize humidification and purification performance. This is because in dry conditions, moisture from the humidifier will be absorbed by walls, furniture, and other items in your room.

If the Philips Air Cleaner produces a strange smell, especially the first few times you use it, this is normal and likely a plastic smell. If the smell persists or smells burnt even after removing the filters, contact your Philips dealer or an authorized Philips service center. If the filter smells after use, remove it and place it in direct sunlight with ventilation for several hours, then reinstall. If the odor remains, replace the filter.
