3. INSTALLING METAL SLEEVE
Insert metal sleeve into the opening (182 x 53 mm) in the car dashboard or console.
Fix metal sleeve into place by pressing the metal tags outwards using a screwdriver.
Rear support: Depending on car mounting situation, a rear support may be necessary. Certain cars are
provided with a rear support hole. For other cars, a rear support bracket should be fitted.
4. CONNECTING RADIO
4.1 Fit antenna adaptor if needed
4.2 Insert aerial plug into aerial adaptor/socket.
4.3. Screw rubber buffer onto fixing stud at rear of set.
4.4 Insert loudspeaker plug B into socket B’.
4.5 Insert power supply plug A into socket A’.
4.6 (optional) Remove the plastic cover from socket C' and insert the rectangular plug from
the CD changer* or Portable player*.
4.7 (optional) Line output (4-channel}: You can connect a power amplifier (with additional
loudspeakers) fo this set. Use the adaptor cable (CINCH) mentioned in the illustration
which is available from your dealer. Insert the rectangular plug D into socket D’.
5. MOUNTING RADIO
® Slide the radio into the metal sleeve until the springs at either side of the radio snap
into the openings of the sleeve.
© Reconnect the negative car battery terminal.
- Installation is now complete.
6. REMOVING RADIO
You can unlock the radio using the two U-brackets supplied.
Insert both U-brackets [x] into the holes [y] on the front of the set until they lock.
Remove the radio from the metal sleeve.
REPLACING FUSE (see illustration 4.8)
Pull fuse out of connector block at rear of radio. .
Replace with a blade-type fuse of the correct rating.
INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSION
Most modern cars have sufficient interference suppression. If you experience interference generated by
the car, consult your garage.
