Brew Group Cleaning with "Co ee Clean Tablets":
Besides weekly cleaning, we recommend running the cleaning cycle with
"Co ee Clean Tablets" after approximately 500 cups of co ee or once a
month. This operation completes the maintenance process of the brew
group.
The "Co ee Clean Tablets" to clean the Brew Group and the "Maintenance
Kit" may be purchased at your local dealer, at the Philips on-line shop at
http://shop.philips.com or at authorised service centres.
Warning: The "Co ee Clean Tablets" has no descaling property. For descal-
ing use the Saeco descaling solution and follow the procedure described in
the "Descaling" chapter.

Place a cup under the co ee dispensing spout.

Make sure the water tank is lled with clean water up to the "MAX"
level.

Put a Co ee Clean tablet in the pre-ground co ee compartment.

Press and release the " " button one or more times to select and
activate the pre-ground co ee function without adding any ground
co ee.

Start one co ee brew cycle pressing the " " button.

When half a cup of water has been dispensed, turn o the appliance
using the power button and let the solution take e ect for approxi-
mately 15 minutes. Make sure you discard the dispensed water.

Turn on the appliance and wait until the rinse cycle is complete.
