To set up the E-711/E-712 system, you can type the appropriate commands in a terminal program, or use the
Device Parameter Configuration window of PIMikroMove, with the PiezoWalk 1 and Axis Definition 1 parameter
groups selected.
The commands to be typed when using a terminal program (e.g. PI Terminal) are listed below.
Terminal command Comment
Switch to command level 1 to have write access to the
parameters to be adjusted
Select the type of the PiezoWalk® drive:
Set PiezoWalk type to NEXLINE for PiezoWalk channel 1
Configure PiezoWalk channel 1 and axis 1:
SPA 1 0x09000100 1 1 0x09000101 2
Assign piezo amplifier channels 1 and 2 to the shearing
components of PiezoWalk channel 1
SPA 1 0x09000200 3 1 0x09000201 4
Assign piezo amplifier channels 3 and 4 to the clamping
components of PiezoWalk channel 1
Assign PiezoWalk channel 1 to axis 1 (with this and the
next three commands)
Assign sensor channel 1 (of 3) to axis 1 (with this and the
next two commands)
Set default values for PiezoWalk Forward Correction and PiezoWalk Backward Correction (linearization
parameters; no linearization required), PiezoWalk Shearing-To-Clamping Ratio, PiezoWalk Min Step Cycle Time
and PiezoWalk Clamp-Free Voltage
