7. Tighten the handle pivot knobs so that the handle
can not move.
Note: The floor stripping machine is heavy and may
require two people to lift and lower the machine safely.
8. Raise the splash skirt around the deck exposing
the deck frame. Use the transport cart pivot arm
and/or the notch in the front of the deck to lift the
machine to a full upright position.
CAUTION! Before lowering the machine back to the floor,
be sure that brushes are attached to the machine to
prevent someone from damaging their hands and/or
fingers. This also will prevent any damage to the head
drive assembly.
9. When lowering the machine down, DO NOT drop
the machine. Slowly lower the machine to the
floor until the wheels and brushes are on the
ground.
10. Loosen the handle pivot knobs and place the
handle in the operating position. Adjust the handle
to the desired operating position and tighten the
handle pivot knobs.
Brush Change
1. Place the machine in the Rok-Bak position. (see
Rok-Bak section)
2. Facing the brushes from the front of the machine,
turn the brush on the right counter-clockwise with
a quick motion and pull the brush towards you.
Turn the brush on the left clockwise with a quick
motion and pull the brush towards you.
CAUTION! Carefully inspect the brush/pad holder for
cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
WARNING! A damaged brush/pad holder rotating at high
speeds may be an extreme hazard if it should come apart.
3. While facing the machine from the front, place the
brush on the right into the slots and turn clockwise
with a quick motion. Make sure the brush snaps
into place. Place the brush on the left in the slots
and turn counter-clockwise with a quick motion.
Make sure the brush snaps into place.
4. Verify that all three lugs of both brushes are
correctly installed. If all three lugs are not properly
installed, it is possible that the brush could come
loose from the assembly. This may also cause
damage to the machine and/or floor.
5. The machine can now be lowered to the floor.
DO NOT store the machine with the brushes in contact
with the floor. The brushes could flatten during storage.
Always store the machine using the transport cart to hold
the brushes off of the floor.
Fuses
The machine’s electrical circuit is protected by two fuses,
which stops the flow of current in the event of a circuit
overload. Once a fuse blows, it must be replaced. If the
overload that caused the fuse to fail is still present, the
new fuse will fail and the problem must be corrected. DO
NOT bypass any fuse.
