Radio
reception
is
not
possible
unless
the
antenna
is
properly
connected.
The
strength
of
broadcast
signals
varies
from
one
area
to
another.

propagation

poor

metropolitan
areas,
where
there

many
tail
buildings,
andin
mountainous
areas.

installation

Use
an
external
antenna
when
the
signals
from
stations
are
weak
and
cannot
be
picked
up
by

accessory

large
amounts

noise.

The
antenna
should
be
placed
ata
distance
from
the
tuner,
and
should
not
be
aliowed
to
touch
metallic
objects.
Avoid
placing
it
near
CD
players,
personal
computers,
television
sets,
and
other devices generating radio frequencies.

level
surface
and
rotate

orientation
that
yields
the
best
reception.

switch
is
not
provided
on
models
for
Australia,
U.S.
and
Canada.
Adjustment
is
only
necessary
when
there
is
a
CHANNEL
STEP
switch
at
the
rear
panel.
The
CHANNEL
STEP
switch
is
located
on
the
rear
panel
of
the
stereo
CD
cassette
deck
receiver.
Before
the
tuner
leaves
the
factory,
this
switch
is
set
to
the
channel
step

the

tuner
is
sold.
Depending
on
the
position
of
this
switch,
each
time
TUNING
is
pressed,
the
frequency
display
changes
