WEIGHT AND BALANCE
6.1 INTRODUCTION
This section provides information about how to calculate the takeo weight
and C.G. of the aircraft. Once calculated, these two values can be used to
find a point on the weight and balance chart (see section 6.3) and thus de-
termine whether aircraft is within the flight limits (see section 2.6). A sample
calculation is provided for reference.
WARNING: It is the owner and/or operator’s responsibility to ensure the
aircraft’s takeo weight and C.G. are within the envelope presented in the
weight and balance chart (see section 6.3).
NOTE: The aircraft’s empty weight and empty weight C.G. are the starting
point for all takeo calculations. Please refer to the aircraft’s weight and bal-
ance report for the current empty weight data.
