Glossary.
In the HTML interface terms may appear that could be of particular
interest to the helpdesk. We have briey explained the less obvious
ones below:
System status
• Firmware:
The rmware version that is installed
on the Smile.
• Time:
The time and date that are set on
the Smile (you can change this at
‘Settings’).
• Timezone:
The time zone to which the Smile
has been set.
• Boiler protocol:
The boiler protocol that the Smile
reads.
• MAC address:
The MAC address of the Smile.
• IP address:
The IP address of the Smile. In order
to reach the Smile, you can also
type the IP address into the browser
address bar.
• Broadcast:
The address to which a message
can be sent and can be received by
all linked devices in the network.
• Protocol: The method the Smile uses
to obtain the network address.
• SSID: Name of the wireless network
the Smile is connected to.
• Encryption: Locking data
• Mode: See whether the Smile is in
client or access point mode
