Switches
Ignition Switch (1)
The ignition switch i s a t hree-position, key-operated switch. The key
can be removed from the switch when it is in the OFF p o s i t i o n .
OFF Engine off. All electrical circuits
are off except Acc. 12V.
ON Electrical circuits are on.
Electrical equipment can be used.
START Electric starter is engaged by
holding ignition switch key in this
position. Upon release, the key
will return to the O N position.
WARNING
Leaving the keys in the ignition can lead to unauthorized use of
the vehicle resulting in serious injury or death. Always remove
the ignition key when the vehicle is not in use.
Light Switch (2 )
The ignitio n switch key must be in the ON posi tion to
operate the headlights. The switch has three positions:
A: High Beam
B: Low Beam
C: Off
AWD/Differential Lock Switch (3)
The AWD/Differential Switch has three positions:
D: AWD
E: Differential Lock
F: Off
See page 33 for di fferential switch operating
instructions.
Vehicles equipped with AWD can be operated in
either 2WD or AWD. Press the AWD switch to engage the
AWD. Press the bottom of the rocker switch to return to 2WD.
NOTE: Under some conditions, it’s possible for the AWD to remain
engaged. See page 51 for manual disengagement
instructions.
