1. Use slider to adjust cord to desired length. Cord adjusts from 31" to
60" (79 cm to 152 cm).
2. Attach clip near shoulder:
•
Of clothing patient/resident is not
likely to remove; and
•
Out of the patient’s/resident’s reach
(Figs. 18 and 19).
3. Check that attachment point is in good
condition and is not frayed or torn.
4. Secure clip lock by rotating it clockwise
(Fig. 20). This will reduce risk that
patient/resident can remove clip.

the risk of serious injury or death,
ALWAYS follow these steps before
leaving patient/resident unattended.

mode (monitoring indicator LED
is flashing green).
2. Cord clip is securely fastened
to clothing out of the patient’s/
resident’s reach.
3. Clip lock is engaged (fig. 20).
4. Magnet cord is not tangled, and is the right length for safe
monitoring.
5. Alarm activates each time you remove magnet from face of
alarm. Reattach magnet to resume monitoring. If alarm fails
to activate, inspect magnet and check all connections. Do not
leave a patient/resident unattended unless the alarm activates
