Linking the Movement Arms for
Dependent Motion (Optional)
The movement arms on this equipment move independently. However, using
the included movement arm crossbar, you can link the movement arms so that
they move together (dependently).
Important: Before you begin this procedure, verify that the owner of the equipment
wants the movement arms to move dependently.
To link the two movement arms:
1. Remove the four M12 x 35 mm socket head cap screws and the four 13 mm
flat washers securing the cover plates to the movement arms. Discard the
cover plates. Set the screws and washers aside for use later in this
procedure.
2. Remove the instructional tag from the crossbar.
3. Rotate one of the movement arms by about ten degrees (10°). Position the
crossbar between the movement arms as shown in the following figure.

4. While you return the movement arm to its original position, rotate the
crossbar into place. Make sure that the screw holes on the crossbar line up
with the holes on both movement arms.
5. Note: If you cannot make all of the screw holes line up at the same time,
you may need to remove the crossbar and reposition it.
6. Secure the crossbar in place using the four M12 x 35 mm socket head
screws and the four 13 mm flat washers you removed in step 1. Tighten the
screws completely.
