Microwave mode
You should know
The “microwave” heating mode without addi-
tional functions, recognised by the indicator
in the display (16), is well-suited to the prepa-
ration of:
– Stews, soups, sauces
– Meat without crusts
–Steamed fish
– Vegetables
– Side dishes (rice, boiled potatoes, some
pasta)
–Hot drinks
– Defrosting small portions.

WARNING
Microwave hazard!
Microwaves can be emitted if the cook-
ing chamber door is insuffi ciently sealed
when closed. Under such circumstanc-
es, the appliance may not be used.
■ If the door or door seals are dam-
aged, the oven must not be operated
until it has been repaired by a compe-
tent person.
■ It is hazardous for anyone other than
a competent person to carry out any
service or repair operation that in-
volves the removal of a cover which
gives protection against exposure to
microwave energy.
■ Pay particular attention to the clean-
liness of the door seals and door seal
faces along with all adjacent parts.
■ Never remove the cover inside the
cooking chamber! It serves to protect
the magnetron, which emits the mi-
crowaves.
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage or cause a fi re.
■ Do not operate the appliance with an
external timer or a separate remote
control system.
■ In case of a fi re or smoke in the cook-
ing chamber: do not open the cook-
ing chamber door! Switch off the ap-
pliance, unplug at the mains or switch
off at the fuse box.
