      To troubleshoot a Pro-Form Treadmill that won't power on: a. Ensure the power cord is plugged into a properly earthed outlet. If using an extension cord, it should be a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (1 mm[2]) cord no longer than 5 ft (1.5 m). b. After plugging in, verify the key is inserted into the console. c. Check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If it protrudes, the switch has tripped. To reset it, wait five minutes, then press it back in.

      To recalibrate the incline system on your Pro-Form Treadmill, insert the key into the console and press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level.

      If the console displays on your Pro-Form Treadmill remain lit after removing the key, the demo mode is likely activated. To deactivate it, press and hold the Stop button for a few seconds. If the displays are still lit, consult THE INFORMATION MODE on page 20 to turn off the demo mode.

    How to fix a Pro-Form Treadmill walking belt that is off-center or slips?

      If your Pro-Form Treadmill's walking belt is off-center, first remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn using the hex key. If it has shifted right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Avoid overtightening. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat this process until the belt is centered. If the walking belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both idler roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn with the hex key. When correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform. Keep the belt centered.       If the walking belt slows down when you walk on your Pro-Form Treadmill: * If an extension cord is needed, use only a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (1 mm[2]) cord that is no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m). * If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may become damaged. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes.
